On October 1st, 2008 the Bio-Chemical Business Unit of Kyowa Hakko Kogyo Co., Ltd. was reborn as Kyowa Hakko Bio Co., Ltd., wholly owned subsidiary of Kyowa Hakko Kirin Co., Ltd..
